COMMUNITY 2.0 CONVERSATIONS PRESENTS
FAST FORWARD TO THE PRESENT: Living in the age of accelerations
An urgent need exists to inform and mobilize the public about the state of the environment. A panel discussion, Monday December 17 at 6:00pm in Pasadena, will inform you of the critical state of the environment and how we can each play a vital role in saving it.
The natural environment that sustains human life is being destroyed. Experts warn that only 12 years remain before wide scale and irreversible damage is done, says the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The world is changing at an exponential pace and is at a turning point. If we do not shift to sustainable business practices and living sustainable lifestyles, many people will be irreversibly imperiled by drought, flooding, extreme heat and increased poverty in the years and decades to come.
Community 2.0’s (C 2.0) mission is to convene business, public sector and community leaders and individuals and prepare them to adapt and thrive in our times of unprecedented transformation.
C 2.0 presents public Conversations multiple times each year on hard hitting future challenges of great importance to people and our way of life. The root cause challenge we focus on is the disconnect between change, which is now happening at an exponential rate, and the linear way people are trained to think.
